INDEPENDENT MOVING CONTRACTOR (OWNER-OPERATOR) KEEP 65% PER JOB
Truck Required: 24–28 ft Box Truck (Non-negotiable)
Famous Movers is expanding our network of professional Independent Moving Contractors who can provide their own 24–28 ft box truck, crew, and moving equipment to complete fully booked residential moves.
This is NOT a labor-only position.
This is strictly for full-service owner-operators.
COMPENSATION STRUCTURE (CLEAR & TRANSPARENT)
You receive 65% of the total job revenue.
Famous Movers retains 35% for booking, customer service, scheduling, marketing, and job management.
Contractor: 65%
Famous Movers: 35%
No hidden fees.
No lead costs.
No deductions beyond the agreed percentage.
The work week runs Monday–Sunday
Payout is every Tuesday for the prior week.
WHAT WE PROVIDE
We handle everything except the physical move:

Booking the customer
-
Customer service
-
Quotes and pricing
-
Schedule management
-
All communication before the move
-
Job coordination
-
Payments and invoicing
You receive a fully booked, confirmed move.
YOUR ONLY RESPONSIBILITY

Show up and execute the move successfully.

You do not handle payments.
-
You do not negotiate with customers.
-
You do not do marketing or sales.
TO QUALIFY, YOU MUST HAVE
24 ft minimum is mandatory. Anything smaller = not eligible.
CONTRACTOR MUST PROVIDE
A minimum 2-person crew (you hire/pay your own workers)
Standard moving equipment:
MOVING BLANKETS
DOLLIES (HAND & APPLIANCE)
TIE-DOWNS, STRAPS
TOOLS FOR ASSEMBLY/DISASSEMBLY
You must be fully capable of completing full-service residential moves.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Arrive on schedule

Execute the move professionally

Protect the customer’s property and home

Follow all job notes provided

Communicate completion or issues only with our dispatch team
YOU WILL NOT HANDLE

Pricing or quoting

Customer phone calls

Disputes

Upselling

Marketing or leads
We remove all customer-facing and administrative tasks.

REQUIREMENTS

24–28 ft box truck (no exceptions)

Moving experience

Commercial cargo & liability insuarance

LLC or registered business
-
Valid driver’s license
-
Ability to operate as an independent contractor
