Customer Service Agreement

Last Updated: August 15, 2026

Welcome to Famous Movers. This Customer Service Agreement (“Agreement”) establishes the general terms, service standards, responsibilities, and policies governing moving services provided by Famous Movers.

Our goal is to provide a safe, efficient, professional, and transparent moving experience while establishing clear expectations for both Famous Movers and the customer.

This Agreement should be read together with the customer’s written moving proposal, moving-services contract, and any properly authorized written amendments relating to the move.

Move-specific information contained in the customer’s written proposal or moving-services contract—including pricing, crew size, service locations, included services, arrival window, and applicable service adjustments—controls for that reservation to the extent it differs from general information contained in this Agreement.

1.0 Booking & Reservation

1.1 Direct Bookings

Unless otherwise stated in writing, a $100 non-refundable Reservation Deposit is required for direct bookings.

The Reservation Deposit is credited toward the customer’s final balance.

Payment of the Reservation Deposit begins the reservation process but does not, by itself, guarantee a particular service date, arrival window, truck, or crew.

1.2 Groupon Bookings

For Groupon reservations, the customer’s valid Groupon voucher represents the promotional purchase associated with the applicable Groupon offer.

Purchasing or possessing a Groupon voucher does NOT automatically reserve a moving date or arrival window.

Groupon reservations remain subject to:

  • Submission of required move information;

  • Review of the move details;

  • Acceptance of this Agreement;

  • Review of the applicable written moving proposal;

  • Availability; and

  • Written confirmation from Famous Movers.

Groupon voucher purchases remain subject to Groupon’s applicable promotional, expiration, and refund policies.

2.0 Move Confirmation

A requested move is not considered confirmed until Famous Movers has completed the booking review and issued written confirmation.

Before confirmation, the customer must provide all reasonably required information, including:

  • Pickup and delivery addresses;

  • Property type;

  • Inventory;

  • Floor levels;

  • Stairs;

  • Elevators;

  • Parking or loading restrictions;

  • Extended walking distances;

  • Additional stops;

  • Heavy or specialty items; and

  • Other information that may materially affect the move.

For direct bookings, the required Reservation Deposit must also be received.

For Groupon bookings, the required Groupon information must be provided.

The customer must also review and accept this Agreement and the applicable written moving proposal.

A Reservation Deposit or Groupon voucher does NOT by itself constitute confirmation of service.

Reservations remain subject to crew, truck, scheduling, and service availability until Famous Movers issues written confirmation.

3.0 Written Moving Proposal & Move-Specific Pricing

A requested move is not considered confirmed until Famous Movers has completed the booking review and issued written confirmation.

Before confirmation, the customer must provide all reasonably required information, including:

  • Pickup and delivery addresses;

  • Property type;

  • Inventory;

  • Floor levels;

  • Stairs;

  • Elevators;

  • Parking or loading restrictions;

  • Extended walking distances;

  • Additional stops;

4.0 Groupon Promotional Package

Unless otherwise expressly stated in the applicable Groupon offer, the promotional package includes:

  • Two (2) professional movers

  • One (1) moving truck

  • Two (2) total hours of moving service

  • One pickup location

  • One delivery location

The two-hour service period applies to the move as a whole and does not provide separate time periods for loading, transportation, and unloading.

Unused promotional time has no cash, refund, transferable, or future-service-credit value.

The Groupon voucher applies only toward the promotional package identified in the offer.

Unless expressly included in the offer, the voucher does not cover:

  • Travel Charge;

  • Additional moving time;

  • Additional movers;

  • Additional stops;

  • Stair Access;

  • Extended Access;

  • Peak-Day Service;

  • Last-Minute Service;

  • Specialty handling;

  • Packing services;

  • Additional equipment or trucks; or

  • Other services outside the promotional package.

5.0 Travel Charge

A Travel Charge ranging from $149 to $249 applies to every Groupon reservation.

For direct or non-Groupon reservations, a Travel Charge applies only when it is specifically identified in the customer’s written proposal or service confirmation.

The Travel Charge is determined based on the transportation and logistical requirements associated with the reservation. Factors may include the service area, pickup and delivery locations, truck positioning, crew travel, transportation requirements, equipment logistics, and overall operational requirements of the move.

The applicable Travel Charge will be disclosed in writing before the reservation is confirmed. Once accepted, the amount shown in the customer’s written proposal or confirmation will apply to that reservation.

The Travel Charge is not calculated solely by mileage and is not represented as a per-mile charge.

For Groupon reservations, the Travel Charge is separate from the Groupon voucher price unless the applicable offer expressly states otherwise. The Groupon voucher applies only toward the promotional moving service specifically described in the offer and does not automatically include the Travel Charge.

The Travel Charge is the only additional charge that automatically applies to every Groupon reservation.

Other charges are not automatic and apply only when the corresponding service, access condition, scheduling condition, or customer request is present, as described elsewhere in this Agreement.

Examples may include additional moving time, stair carry, extended carry, additional stops, additional movers, packing or materials, specialty services, or applicable peak-day or last-minute adjustments.

The Travel Charge is intended to cover the transportation and logistical requirements necessary to position the crew, truck, and required resources for the reservation and is separate from the hourly or promotional service time provided to the customer.

6.0 Arrival Window

Customers agree to remain reasonably available during the confirmed arrival window.

An arrival window is an estimated period during which the crew is expected to arrive and is not a guaranteed exact arrival time unless expressly stated in writing.

Arrival times may be affected by:

  • Traffic;

  • Earlier moves requiring additional time;

  • Weather;

  • Road closures;

  • Vehicle or equipment issues;

  • Building restrictions; or

  • Other operational circumstances outside Famous Movers’ reasonable control.

Famous Movers will make reasonable efforts to provide updated estimated arrival information when material delays occur.

An authorized adult should be present or otherwise available to authorize the start of service when the crew arrives.

7.0 Initial Walkthrough & Official Start Time

Service time does not automatically begin when the moving crew arrives at the pickup location.

Upon arrival, the crew will first conduct a brief initial walkthrough with the customer.

The walkthrough may include:

  • Reviewing the inventory;

  • Confirming items being moved;

  • Reviewing access conditions;

  • Identifying specialty or unusually heavy items;

  • Confirming requested services;

  • Reviewing obvious differences from information provided during booking; and

  • Establishing the official service start time.

The brief initial walkthrough is not counted against the customer’s service time.

After the walkthrough, the crew will communicate the official service start time to the customer.

By authorizing the crew to begin moving work after the start time is communicated, the customer acknowledges the established start time.

Any concern regarding the start time should be raised before or promptly after moving work begins.

8.0 Service Time & Billing

Billable service time begins at the official service start time established after the initial walkthrough.

Once service begins, time runs continuously while the crew remains assigned to the move.

Service time includes, as applicable:

  • Included furniture preparation;

  • Loading;

  • Transportation between service locations;

  • Authorized additional stops;

  • Unloading; and

  • Other authorized moving services.

Travel between the pickup, additional stops, and delivery location is considered moving service time.

Travel to the initial pickup location before the official start time is not included in hourly moving time and is addressed through the applicable Travel Charge.

Customer-caused delays occurring after the official start time remain part of service time when the crew is required to wait.

Examples include:

  • Unfinished packing;

  • Unavailable elevators;

  • Missing gate or building access;

  • Parking restrictions;

  • Waiting for keys;

  • Customer-requested pauses;

  • Building-management delays; or

  • Other conditions preventing the crew from proceeding.

9.0 Included & Additional Moving Time

Promotional or prepaid packages providing a stated number of hours provide that total amount of moving service time beginning at the official service start time.

If the move is completed before the included time expires, unused time has no refund, cash, transferable, or future-service-credit value.

Unless another rate is stated in writing, additional moving time for two movers and one truck is:

$149.99 per hour, billed in 30-minute increments.

10.0 Access, Labor & Service Conditions

Customers must provide reasonably complete and accurate information regarding inventory, property access, service locations, and requested work.

Pricing, staffing, equipment, and scheduling may depend on that information.

Access and service adjustments apply only when the corresponding condition exists.

Whenever reasonably known before service, the applicable charge will be identified in the written proposal.

10.1 Additional Movers

Additional movers may be requested or recommended when the size, volume, specialty items, access conditions, safety considerations, or other requirements of the move reasonably require additional labor.

Unless otherwise stated in writing:

Each additional mover is $49 per hour, billed in 30-minute increments.

Additional billable labor will not intentionally be added without customer authorization.

10.2 Peak-Day Service

A $49 Peak-Day Service adjustment applies to reservations scheduled Friday through Sunday when identified in the written proposal.

10.3 Last-Minute Service

$49 Last-Minute Service adjustment applies when a reservation is requested within 24 hours of the requested service time.

When both Peak-Day Service and Last-Minute Service apply:

Maximum combined scheduling adjustment: $79

Accordingly:

  • Peak-Day only: $49

  • Last-Minute only: $49

  • Both: $79 maximum combined

10.4 Additional Stops

The standard service includes the pickup and delivery locations identified in the written proposal.

Each additional pickup or delivery location is:

$79 per additional stop

Travel and moving time associated with an additional stop remains part of service time.

Stops added after service begins are subject to Famous Movers’ approval, truck capacity, crew availability, scheduling, and service-area limitations.

11.0 Extended Access

Standard access includes up to 100 walking feet between the moving truck and the applicable entrance or loading area.

Walking distance is determined using the actual reasonable carrying route used by the crew, rather than straight-line distance.

When the carrying route exceeds 100 walking feet:

Extended Access — $79 per affected location may apply.

Examples include:

  • Apartment complexes;

  • Parking garages;

  • Long hallways;

  • Long driveways;

  • Loading docks;

  • Restricted parking;

  • Gated properties;

  • Limited truck access; or

  • Locations where the truck cannot legally or reasonably park near the entrance.

Each pickup or delivery location is evaluated separately.

12.0 Stair & Elevator Access

Stair Access applies when household goods must be physically transported by stairs.

Rates are:

  • 2nd floor: $49 per affected location

  • 3rd floor: $79 per affected location

  • 4th floor: $119 per affected location

If stairs are required at both pickup and delivery, each location is evaluated separately.

A floor reasonably accessible using an operational and appropriately sized elevator is not considered stair access.

Properties above the fourth floor without usable elevator access, unusually difficult stair configurations, narrow stairways, spiral stairs, or other extraordinary conditions may require separate evaluation and written pricing.

Customers must disclose known elevator and building requirements, including:

  • Elevator reservations;

  • Loading-dock reservations;

  • Building appointments;

  • Certificates of insurance;

  • Parking permits;

  • Gate codes; and

  • Property-management requirements.

Delays caused by unavailable required access after the official start time remain part of service time.

13.0 Parking & Truck Access

Customers should provide accurate information concerning parking and truck access.

Famous Movers will make reasonable efforts to position the moving vehicle as close to the loading or unloading point as is legally, safely, and reasonably practical.

The crew is not required to:

  • Park illegally;

  • Block emergency access;

  • Obstruct traffic;

  • Enter unsafe or unsuitable areas; or

  • Violate building, HOA, parking, or governmental restrictions.

Restricted parking that causes a carrying distance greater than 100 walking feet may result in Extended Access.

14.0 Customer Responsibilities & Move Preparation

Customers should have the residence and belongings reasonably ready for service before the crew arrives.

Unless professional packing services have been purchased, customers are responsible for packing loose household goods.

Customers are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate move information;

  • Disclosing material access conditions;

  • Identifying specialty or unusually heavy items;

  • Securing valuables and important documents;

  • Ensuring required building access is available;

  • Keeping children and pets away from active work areas;

  • Providing access to items being moved; and

  • Identifying items not intended for transportation.

Customer-caused delays occurring after the official start time remain part of service time.

15.0 Inventory Accuracy & Changes to the Move

Pricing, staffing, and estimated service time are based on the inventory and information provided before service.

Customers should accurately disclose the approximate:

  • Quantity;

  • Size;

  • Weight;

  • Type; and

  • Special handling characteristics of the property being moved.

If the actual move materially differs from what was disclosed, Famous Movers may need to:

  • Adjust estimated service time;

  • Recommend additional labor;

  • Require additional equipment;

  • Modify the service plan;

  • Provide written amended pricing; or

  • Reschedule or decline work that cannot safely or reasonably be accommodated.

Any additional charge requiring amendment after the moving-services contract has been completed should be documented and agreed to in writing as required by applicable law.

16.0 Packing Requirements

Unless professional packing services have been purchased, customers are responsible for packing their belongings before service.

Boxes should be securely closed and capable of safely supporting their contents.

Loose items, open containers, unstable boxes, or improperly packed property may be declined when the crew reasonably determines the condition creates an unacceptable risk of damage or injury.

Famous Movers is not responsible for loss or damage caused solely by inadequate packing performed by the customer or a third party, subject to applicable law.

17.0 Furniture Preparation

Customers should empty furniture when contents would make the item unsafe or unreasonably difficult to move.

This may include:

  • Dressers;

  • File cabinets;

  • Desks;

  • Entertainment centers;

  • Wardrobes;

  • Refrigerators;

  • Freezers;

  • China cabinets;

  • Bookcases; and

  • Similar furniture.

Famous Movers may decline to move furniture that remains excessively loaded or exceeds safe handling limits.

18.0 Utilities & Appliances

Unless appliance-preparation services have been expressly arranged, customers are responsible for disconnecting and preparing appliances before service.

Famous Movers does not disconnect or reconnect:

  • Gas lines;

  • Hard-wired electrical connections;

  • Plumbing lines;

  • Water lines; or

  • Permanently installed fixtures,

unless performed by an appropriately qualified provider under a separately authorized service.

19.0 Heavy, Oversized & Specialty Items

Heavy, oversized, unusually fragile, or difficult-to-handle items must be disclosed before service.

Examples may include:

  • Safes;

  • Exercise equipment;

  • Commercial equipment;

  • Oversized appliances;

  • Exceptionally heavy furniture;

  • Large glass or stone items; or

  • Other specialized property.

Depending on the item, Famous Movers may require:

  • Additional movers;

  • Additional equipment;

  • Specialized preparation;

  • Separate pricing;

  • Advance approval; or

  • A specialty service provider.

Famous Movers may decline to handle an item when the crew reasonably determines that it cannot be moved safely using the available personnel, equipment, access, or methods.

20.0 Items We Do Not Transport

Heavy, oversized, unusually fragile, or difficult-to-handle items must be disclosed before service.

Examples may include:

  • Safes;

  • Exercise equipment;

  • Commercial equipment;

  • Oversized appliances;

  • Exceptionally heavy furniture;

  • Large glass or stone items; or

  • Other specialized property.

Depending on the item, Famous Movers may require:

  • Additional movers;

  • Additional equipment;

  • Specialized preparation;

  • Separate pricing;

  • Advance approval; or

  • A specialty service provider.

Famous Movers may decline to handle an item when the crew reasonably determines that it cannot be moved safely using the available personnel, equipment, access, or methods.

20.1 Perishable Food

Fresh, frozen, refrigerated, or otherwise perishable food should generally be transported by the customer unless otherwise agreed in writing.

20.2 High-Value & Irreplaceable Property

Customers are strongly encouraged to personally transport:

  • Cash;

  • Jewelry;

  • Watches;

  • Passports;

  • Birth certificates;

  • Legal and financial documents;

  • Medications;

  • Collectibles;

  • Family heirlooms;

  • Irreplaceable property; and

  • Other unusually valuable items.

Special handling requirements for high-value property should be disclosed before service.

20.3 Electronics

Sensitive electronics should be appropriately packed, preferably in original or professionally suitable packaging when available.

Famous Movers is not responsible for internal mechanical or electronic failure unrelated to the crew’s handling or transportation of the item, subject to applicable law and the selected liability level.

21.0 Furniture Services

21.1 Assembly & Disassembly

Basic furniture disassembly or reassembly may be provided when included in the booked service and reasonably practical.

It is not automatically complimentary merely because unused moving time remains.

Items requiring specialized knowledge, manufacturer instructions, or technical installation may be declined.

Examples may include:

  • Custom furniture;

  • Permanently installed furniture;

  • Fitness equipment;

  • Playground equipment;

  • Baby cribs;

  • Bunk beds; or

  • Specialty items.

Famous Movers does not guarantee identical reassembly when hardware, components, instructions, or structural integrity are missing or compromised.

21.2 Final Furniture Placement

Customers should identify the desired placement of furniture before the crew completes the move.

Reasonable placement is part of unloading when included in the booked service.

Repeated repositioning or relocation after initial placement may consume additional service time or require separate authorization when it extends beyond the booked service.

22.0 Safety During Service

Safety is a priority throughout the move.

Customers, family members, visitors, and guests should remain clear of:

  • Moving equipment;

  • Ramps;

  • Liftgates;

  • Dollies;

  • Stairways;

  • Loading areas; and

  • Other active work zones.

22.1 Children & Pets

Customers are responsible for supervising children and securing pets away from active work areas.

22.2 Customer Assistance

Customers should not assist the crew with lifting, carrying, loading, or unloading heavy household goods unless specifically directed by the crew.

If a customer voluntarily assists after being advised not to do so, responsibility for injury or damage caused by the customer’s own actions remains subject to applicable law.

22.3 Footwear & Shoe Covers

Crew members may wear safety footwear appropriate for moving work.

If the customer requires footwear protection indoors, shoe covers may be used when reasonably safe and practical.

Requirements involving repeated footwear removal after the official start time may increase service time.

Safety requirements take priority when shoe-cover use would create a slip, traction, or lifting hazard.

23.0 Property & Premises Protection

Famous Movers exercises reasonable care and uses reasonable precautionary measures appropriate to the circumstances of the move.

Precautions may include:

  • Moving blankets;

  • Pads;

  • Sliders;

  • Dollies;

  • Floor protection; or

  • Other reasonable protective measures.

These precautions are intended to reduce the risk of damage but cannot guarantee that incidental contact, scratching, scuffing, denting, or marking will never occur.

Large, heavy, oversized, or unusually shaped items may create an increased risk of contact with:

  • Flooring;

  • Walls;

  • Doorways;

  • Railings;

  • Elevators;

  • Stairways; or

  • Other property surfaces.

Customers should identify and document known pre-existing property damage before service begins.

Famous Movers is not responsible for damage caused solely by:

  • Pre-existing damage;

  • Concealed defects;

  • Structural weakness;

  • Deteriorated materials;

  • Improperly installed or defective flooring;

  • Inadequate construction;

  • Unstable surfaces;

  • Normal wear; or

  • Other conditions outside Famous Movers’ reasonable control,

       except to the extent liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

The use of protective materials does not constitute a guarantee against property damage.

Reported property damage will be reviewed individually based on available information, which may include:

  • Photographs;

  • Pre-existing conditions;

  • Protective measures used;

  • Weight and nature of the item;

  • Crew statements; and

  • Other relevant evidence.

Investigating a damage concern does not by itself constitute an admission of fault or liability.

24.0 Pre-Existing & Inherent Item Conditions

Customers are encouraged to identify pre-existing damage or weakness in furniture before loading.

Famous Movers is not responsible for loss or damage caused solely by an item’s inherent or pre-existing condition, including:

  • Loose joints;

  • Deteriorated particle board;

  • Pressed-wood failure;

  • Prior repairs;

  • Manufacturer defects;

  • Existing cracks;

  • Ordinary wear and tear;

  • Hidden structural defects; or

  • Similar pre-existing weakness,

       subject to applicable law and the selected liability level.

25.0 Liability for Loss or Damage

The mover’s liability for loss or damage to household goods is governed by the liability level selected or agreed to in the applicable moving documentation.

When the parties agree in writing to Released Value Protection of $0.60 per pound per article, covered loss or damage is calculated according to that agreed limitation.

For example, an item weighing 50 pounds would have a maximum released-value amount of $30 under a $0.60-per-pound-per-article liability level.

Released Value Protection is a limitation of mover liability and is not insurance.

Any other liability or transit-insurance option must be documented separately as required by applicable law.

26.0 General Liability Exclusions

Subject to applicable law and the selected liability level, Famous Movers is not responsible for loss or damage caused solely by:

  • Pre-existing damage or ordinary wear;

  • Inadequate customer or third-party packing;

  • Customer-sealed containers whose contents cannot reasonably be inspected;

  • Inherent weakness of particle-board or pressed-wood furniture;

  • Mechanical or electronic failure unrelated to handling;

  • Manufacturer defects;

  • Hidden structural defects;

  • Prior improper repairs;

  • Customer-directed unsafe handling; or

  • Hazardous or unavoidable conditions outside Famous Movers’ reasonable control.

Nothing in this Agreement limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by law.

27.0 Claims Procedure

Customers should inspect their belongings as soon as reasonably practicable after delivery.

Claims involving loss, damage, or disputed charges must be submitted in writing in accordance with applicable Texas requirements.

A written claim should include enough information to permit investigation and should generally identify:

  • Customer name;

  • Move date;

  • Affected item or charge;

  • Description of the claimed loss, damage, or dispute;

  • Photographs or documentation when available; and

  • The monetary amount or other remedy being requested.

Customers should preserve damaged property, containers, packaging, photographs, receipts, and other relevant evidence while the claim is being reviewed.

Submitting or investigating a claim does not constitute an admission of liability by Famous Movers.

Nothing in this Agreement shortens any claims period or remedy established by applicable Texas law.

28.0 Payment Policy

28.1 Payment Due Before Unloading

Unless otherwise stated in the written proposal, the remaining properly authorized balance is due upon arrival at the delivery location and before unloading begins.

The balance may include, as applicable:

  • Travel Charge;

  • Additional moving time;

  • Additional movers;

  • Additional stops;

  • Peak-Day or Last-Minute adjustments;

  • Stair Access;

  • Extended Access;

  • Specialty services; and

  • Other properly authorized services.

There is no undefined general “Service Fee.”

Any charge must correspond to an identified service, condition, rate, or written authorization.

Reservation Deposits and applicable promotional credits will be applied according to the reservation documents.

Famous Movers accepts only the payment methods communicated during booking or identified in the written proposal.

Customers are responsible for ensuring funds are available before delivery.

Once the amount properly due has been received and verified, unloading will proceed promptly.

29.0 Non-Payment & Delivery Issues

Failure to pay the properly authorized amount due constitutes a breach of the customer’s payment obligations.

If payment is not received when required, Famous Movers may suspend additional service, including unloading, only to the extent permitted by applicable law and the governing moving documents.

Any rights relating to possession of transported property, storage, redelivery, liens, transportation, or collection will be exercised only as permitted under applicable Texas law and the moving-services contract.

Famous Movers will not demand an amount exceeding the properly authorized amount established by the most recent written proposal or written amendment.

29.1 Storage & Redelivery

If a shipment cannot be delivered because of customer absence, refusal to accept delivery, inaccessible property, unsafe conditions, lawful non-payment procedures, or another circumstance requiring storage, any storage or redelivery arrangement will be handled according to applicable law and written authorization.

Any storage, transportation, handling, or redelivery charge must be properly authorized or otherwise recoverable under applicable law.

30.0 Returned or Failed Payments

Customers remain responsible for properly authorized amounts that remain unpaid because of:

  • Returned checks;

  • Declined transactions;

  • Failed electronic payments;

  • Reversed transactions; or

  • Other unsuccessful payment attempts.

Any separate returned-payment or collection fee will apply only when authorized by the applicable agreement and permitted by law.

31.0 Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

Customers retain any lawful right to dispute unauthorized, fraudulent, or otherwise disputable transactions.

Famous Movers may provide reservation records, proposals, contracts, communications, photographs, invoices, and other documentation in response to a chargeback or payment dispute.

Nothing in this Agreement prohibits a customer from exercising rights provided by payment-network rules or applicable law.

Knowingly false or fraudulent payment disputes may be addressed through remedies available under applicable law.

32.0 Collection Costs

If Famous Movers lawfully pursues collection of an unpaid amount, responsibility for attorney fees, court costs, collection expenses, or other costs will be determined by the applicable contract and Texas law.

Nothing in this Agreement creates a broader right to recover such expenses than permitted by law.

33.0 Weather & Events Beyond Reasonable Control

Famous Movers may delay, pause, modify, or reschedule services when weather or another condition creates an unreasonable safety or operational risk.

Examples may include:

  • Heavy rain;

  • Flooding;

  • Ice;

  • Severe wind;

  • Hurricanes;

  • Tornadoes;

  • Wildfires;

  • Road closures;

  • Traffic accidents;

  • Government actions;

  • Mechanical failures; or

  • Similar unforeseen circumstances.

Famous Movers will make reasonable efforts to notify customers of significant delays when practicable.

34.0 Cancellation & Rescheduling

34.1 Direct Bookings

The Reservation Deposit remains non-refundable unless otherwise required by law or expressly agreed in writing.

Cancellation or rescheduling requests remain subject to the policies stated in the customer’s booking confirmation or written proposal.

34.2 Groupon Bookings

Groupon voucher purchases remain subject to Groupon’s applicable refund, promotional, and expiration policies.

Purchasing a Groupon voucher does not automatically reserve a moving date.

Once Famous Movers confirms a reservation, cancellation or rescheduling requests remain subject to Famous Movers’ scheduling policies and any applicable written reservation terms.

35.0 Right to Suspend or Decline Unsafe Service

Famous Movers may pause, modify, decline, or discontinue work when conditions create an unreasonable risk to:

  • Customers;

  • Crew members;

  • Third parties;

  • Household goods;

  • Property;

  • Vehicles; or

  • Equipment.

Examples may include:

  • Threatening or abusive conduct;

  • Unsafe structures or stairways;

  • Hazardous substances;

  • Severe weather;

  • Dangerous parking conditions;

  • Aggressive animals;

  • Illegal activity; or

  • Items exceeding safe handling capacity.

When reasonably practicable, Famous Movers will explain the condition and whether service may resume after the condition is corrected.

36.0 Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by applicable federal law and the laws of the State of Texas.

Any venue or jurisdiction provision is subject to any mandatory legal requirements that cannot lawfully be waived.

37.0 Severability

If any provision of this Agreement is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.

38.0 Entire Service Documentation

The customer’s service arrangement may include:

  • The written moving proposal;

  • Moving-services contract;

  • This Customer Service Agreement;

  • Applicable invoice;

  • Liability-election documentation;

  • Required consumer disclosures;

  • Groupon promotional terms when applicable; and

  • Properly authorized written amendments.

No verbal statement modifies move-specific pricing or contractual services unless properly confirmed in writing.

39.0 Changes to This Agreement

Famous Movers may revise this general Customer Service Agreement for future reservations.

Unless otherwise required by law or agreed in writing, the version provided or accepted in connection with the customer’s confirmed reservation governs that reservation.

Changes made after a customer’s reservation is confirmed do not retroactively alter the customer’s agreed move-specific terms.

40.0 Agreement Acceptance

Electronic acceptance of this Agreement confirms that the customer has been provided an opportunity to review these general service terms.

This Agreement does not replace any written proposal, moving-services contract, liability disclosure, consumer-rights notice, or other document required by applicable Texas law.

By accepting this Agreement and proceeding with the applicable required moving documentation, the customer acknowledges the general terms governing Famous Movers’ services.

If any provision of this Agreement conflicts with a mandatory requirement of applicable law, the applicable legal requirement controls.
